Sekine’s knowledge of nô theory is unassailable, but his fifth account of what Yeats did not understand of the form (see also BK207, BL233, 247, and 250) covers little new ground. By 1995, and after dozens of discussions of the subject, Leeming’s starting point (in 245), Komesu’s concerns (in 239), and Chiba’s criticism (see 250a) are increasingly relevant.
